Newbuild no. 929 Vard to have freezing plant from Teknotherm

We have now been awarded the delivery of the freezing plant for newbuild no. 929 at Vard Brattvaag, owned by P/F Akraberg – Framherji from the Faroe Islands.

The trawler will be equipped with the latest technology, equipment and solutions for onboard production. To secure high quality of the fish, all the catch will be processed onboard, packed and stored in freezers or refrigerators, and the fish waste is stored in specialized ensilage tanks, before unloading at the harbour. The stern trawler will have the VARD 8 03 design.

We will deliver the high efficient cargo freezing plant with a capacity of 80 ton per 24 hrs., carried out by vertical, automatic plate freezers.

Delivery of ship from yard to ship owner is planned to be in 2022.

This delivery will be our freezing plant no. 10 delivered to the Vard Group during the last 8 years, where of 2 orders for newbuild 927 and now 929 concluded this year. In addition to this, we have delivered to the Vard Group refrigeration systems for fish hold plants to 7 Icelandic fresh fish trawlers during the last 2 years.
