Contract for HVAC-systems to DolWin5

Teknotherm Marine AS, a fully owned company of Heinen & Hopman have been awarded another major contract for the design and supply of HVAC systems to the offshore grid connection system DolWin5, which will be installed in the DolWin cluster in the German part of the North Sea.

The platform will have a capacity of 900 MW and be operated by the electricity transmission system operator TenneT. HVDC (high-voltage direct current) is now accepted as a highly efficient alternative for transmitting large amounts of electricity over long distances.

– With this award, we further strengthen our position as a supplier designing and delivering Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning and Refrigeration systems to the offshore wind segment, says Teknotherm Marine CEO Thomas Smordalen.

– We are very pleased to be selected by our client Aibel AS in Norway.

Delivery of the HVAC equipment is scheduled for Q2/2021 and will be transported to Aibels consortium partner Keppel FELS for installation in Singapore.
