Cemre sy awards teknotherm to deliver complete hvac-system

Teknotherm is pleased to announce an order from Cemre Shipyard for the delivery of complete HVAC system to zero emission electric ferry to be built for Torghatten Nord.

The vessel is designed by Norwegian Ship Design and will be operated in route Bognes – Lødingen, which is located in the Northern part of Norway. It is the longest crossing route in Norway with the largest battery package eve installed to zero emission passenger- and car ferries.

During the design phase, there has been a strong collaboration among Torghatten Nord, Cemre Shipyard, Norwegian Ship Design and Teknotherm to tailor-make our HVAC solution with better energy efficiency, improved functionality, easier operation, and low maintenance cost – in combination with cost efficiency for equipment delivery and on-board installation.

HVAC system is one of the major energy consumers in electric ferries. With our HVAC recovery system with integrated smart automation system, we can optimize the usage of energy onboard significantly.

We are proud and happy to work with Cemre on this innovative and environmentally friendly project.
