Teknotherm freezing plant onboard new ‘Nordtind’
Newbuild no. 847 from Vard Søviknes, “Nordtind” was Friday the 5th. of January baptised at Skansekaia in Ålesund.
The 80,4 m freezer trawler is vessel no. 4 delivered from Vard to the owners “Havfisk AS” during the last years – the three previous vessels were respectively Gadus Poseidon, Gadus Njord and Gadus Neptun. And all these four vessels have freezing plants from Teknotherm onboard, with almost same system design and capacity.
The cargo freezing plant onboard “Nordtind” has a capacity of freezing appr. 80 ton of fish products per day, handled by 10 vertical plate freezers of automatic type.
This ammonia refrigeration system is designed/engineered and manufactured in our facilities in Halden, commissioned by our crew in Ålesund and will be taken care of in the future by our service office in Tromsø – in other words; it’s all made in Norway.
